Order process
From specification to shipment, in five written steps
How a Kaldrey order runs: specification, quote, sample approval, production with inspection, and shipping documents.
Every order follows the same written path. No step depends on a verbal agreement, and each step produces a document you can keep on file.
Step 1: Specification
You send the product line, the band or feature list, the buyer type, the volume band, and the ship-to location. The desk turns this into a written specification sheet, one per SKU. Fields that are not yet confirmed stay marked as pending.
Step 2: Written quote
Partner factories quote against the specification sheet. You receive minimum order quantity, lead time, unit price, price validity, and payment terms in writing. A quote is binding only when both sides confirm it.
Step 3: Sample approval
A pre-production sample is made to the specification. You check it against the sheet, record measurements and test results, and approve it in writing. The approved sample becomes the reference for production. The sample checklist page lists what to record.
Step 4: Production and inspection
Production runs against the approved sample. Inspection points cover incoming components, in-line assembly, functional test, final inspection, and packing. Sampling plans and acceptance limits are agreed before production starts, not after.
Step 5: Shipping documents
Before shipment you receive the commercial invoice, packing list, and transport document, and the test status for the SKU. Carton marks and counts are checked against the order. The documents page lists the full set.
What changes between orders
A repeat order of an unchanged SKU skips most of the specification work, but sample and inspection discipline stays the same. If a component or a firmware version changes, the change is notified in writing and approved again before shipment.
