Accessories and Spare Parts for Radar Detectors
Mounts, cups, cables, cases, and manuals: the accessory set around a radar detector, and why spare parts belong in the plan.
The unit is only part of the product. Mounts, cables, and cases decide how the unit installs, how it travels, and how often it returns. This reference lists the accessory set and the fields to confirm per SKU.
In the box
- Mounting hardware: windshield bracket, dash mat, visor clip, or the built-in install kit, per SKU.
- Power cable for the chosen input, with the stated length and fuse.
- Printed manual and a care or quick-start card.
- Storage pouch or case, where included.
Confirm every line against the packing list on the sample, not on the listing. A missing fuse or a missing spare cup is a support ticket the day the customer opens the box.
Spare parts worth stocking
- Suction cups: the most wear-prone part on any windshield mount.
- Power cables: lost, kinked, or left in a previous vehicle.
- Brackets and clips: breakage in heat or handling.
- Cases and pouches: cheap to add at order time, harder to source later.
Ask the factory which spare parts it will sell separately, at what minimum, and for how long the parts remain available. A model whose spares disappear becomes a returns liability for the rest of its life in your catalog.
Accessories as a revenue line
Spare cups, cables, and cases sell to existing owners without discount pressure. They ship in small cartons, and they can be listed wherever the main unit is listed, subject to the same policy checks. Confirm accessory quality to the same standard as the unit; an accessory failure reflects on the brand all the same.
Manuals and inserts
The manual is an accessory in every sense that matters. Confirm language, paper quality, and the regulatory statements it must carry for the destination market. An insert card with care instructions and support contact details reduces support volume more per dollar than any other item in the box.
