RFQ Checklist for Radar Detector Orders
The fields to include in a radar detector quote request so the first reply is a usable quote instead of a list of questions.
A quote request that leaves out key fields comes back as questions, and the delay compounds across time zones. Copy this list into your first message.
Product
- Product line: band coverage, radar and laser, GPS and data, or display and mounting.
- Band list you require, named band by band, and laser yes or no.
- Display type you want, and any brightness requirement.
- Mounting style and power input: plug-in, hardwire, or cordless.
- GPS module yes or no, and what data function you expect.
- Manual language and any label artwork requirement.
Commercial
- Volume band: sample only, trial, repeat, or project.
- Quantity per model, if known, and an estimate of annual volume.
- Target price range, if you have one from comparable quotes.
- Ship-to country and state or province, so restrictions can be checked.
- Proposed payment terms.
Compliance and documents
- Destination market, and the markets you will resell into.
- Test documents you need with the order.
- Whether you require a third-party inspection before shipment.
Timing
- Date you need samples, and date you need stock.
- Any season or promotion the order must land before.
Send what you have; open fields can stay open. A request with marked-open fields gets a faster useful reply than one that waits while you decide.
